Tulsi Shyam is one of the most popular holy place in india situated in dense forest of Gir near Junagadh, the boundary of the Amreli District and Junagadh District in Gujarat.


It is believed that Tulsi shyam Temple was constructed 1000 years ago during the Solanki dynasty and dedicated to Lord Shree Krishna.


Why this place is known as Tulsi Shyam?

According to the belief of legend there is ancient temple lord Vishnu which also called as Shyam. The Lord Vishnu eliminated the demon called Tul and so the place is associated with his name along with that of Krishna as Shyam and is thus called Tulsi shyam.

Tulsi Shyam is famous for the hot springs were thousand of devotee takes holy bath in kund and also offer Tarpan and perform various rituals.


The hot water springs attracts more tourism here. While there are three hot water springs at the location.


The first is filled with hot water, in the second the water is hotter and the third spring has hot boiling water. 


Puranas says this region is referred to as 'Taptodak'.


However, It also famous for 3000 years old Tulsi Shyam statue, 700 years old The Rukmani Devi Temple and for anti-gravity hill.

The anti-gravity hill or can say mystery hill in Tulsi Shyam where gravitation force doesn’t work, the layout of the surrounding land produces an optical illusion, making a slight downhill slope appear to be an uphill slope.


It’s true when your vehicle starts moving uphill on its own, even when it’s on neutral and without the use of handbrakes.



It may look that the cars, water and balls are rolling up hill but in reality, they are sloping downward the way they should be.


The locals tend believe that God is behind this strange occurrence. They claim that because of the Tulsi shyam temple, the path leads all the way to heaven and giving the impression that people are being pulled upwards.


Fortunately, it is not attributed to any evil spirits or other paranormal occurrences.
