Unveiled 112-FT Tall Adiyogi Shiva Statue at Isha Foundation Premises in Chikkaballapur
  • On the great occasion of makar sankranti the statue of Adiyogi Shiva was uneviled on the foothills of nandi hills. 
  • This amazing statue is exactly clone of the one in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. This Adiyogi Statue has been constructed at Isha Foundation Premises of nandi hills and inauguration held on january 15 in chikkaballapur. 
  • The ashram has been set up to promote indian art, culture and spirtual tradition. Cultural programmes include bharathanatyam by Radhe Jaggi, daughter of Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and Kerala's fire dance theyam marked the event. 
  • The statue is unveiled by the chief minister of karnataka Basavarj Bommai in the presence of Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and Health Minister K Sudhakar. 
  • Cm Bommai express his joy by saying " The statue of Adiyogi will energize people from very long time. He also said that If we see Adiyogi for few seconds, we experience lot of things in deepth".

  • However, The Isha Foundation announced the unveiling of the 112- foot adiyogi statue at chikkaballapur will go as per it earlier discussed on sunday january 15 as it received greed signal by karnataka high court. 
  • On Friday, the advocate for the Isha Yoga Centre approached the division bench of Chief Justice Prasanna B Varale and Ashok S Kingai are submitted the inauguration of the center was scheduled for January 15 which will be attended by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and other dignitaries. 
  • The invitation regarding the inauguration was submitted to the court and they told that no trees would be cut for the event and they were not going ahead with construction activities. 
  • The court also recorded this submission and said the event can go ahead as it was already fixed. The counsel for the petitioners sought a direction from the court that no fireworks should be used during the inauguration of the statue. 
  • In response, the court stated that such events would not take place because the Vice President was expected to attend the program. The case hearing was postponed until February 2nd.
